It was named River Garden White because it was one of only a number of agapanthus that survived the Brisbane River 2011 floods. Our river garden was not only submerged a couple of meters, but sections were washed out by currents and/or land slips. The garden was neglected for more than a year after the floods with other priorities dominating. In December 2011 beautiful balls of white flowers emerged through the grass and so we called it River Garden White. Another survivor with its large balls of blue flowers we named River Garden Blue. 

River Garden White has beautiful balls of quality pure white flowers with a flower head numbers approaching the size of Agapanthus Queen Mum when grown under good conditions. Like Queen Mum, River Garden White will command attention with its brilliant display of flowers through the festive season.
